Blighted Maps - How I'm Running Them
In this video I run a tier 14 blighted map with commentary.
Key take away points:
- Loot overwhelmingly comes from the blight rewards, not monster kills.
- Consequentially, the quantity stat on the map doesn't really help much. Run them with trivial mods or no mods. I'd have failed this map at one point if the map had monsters have +hp or +eleresist or players have ele equilibrium or monsters have 90% ignite avoidance. Transmute and regal for the challenge, but you can just scour and chisel when not working on Complete Blighted Maps 2
- A few tier 4 towers are better than a lot of tier 1 ones. However, you want to place tier 1 towers in quiet times then upgrade them when you have resources.
- Teal Oils provide an excellent balance of investment vs reward. Silver Oils provide the best loot outcomes but are too expensive to use. Golden Oils are always wasteful but you will need to run exactly one map with a gold oil for Complete Blighted Maps 1.
