The game is not the most visually appealing, looking similar to games from the 32-bit era. The game does have a grainier “VHS” mode to give the game a more 80s B-horror movie feel. (Also included is a NSFW toggle).
The controls are not too complicated to figure out, action button, movement with the left stick or d-pad, run button and a crouch button. As typical with the survival horror genre, there is some searching necessary to find items, unlock pathways, and a sadistic murdered to try to outwit and avoid.
Deaths will inevitably occur, however, you will not need to retrace much steps as it resets you to the last door opened.
While the game is not terrible, the controls never feel fluid in the game. The graphics are subpar, I’d have liked to see a bit more work in that aspect.
