VALEFAR Boss Fight
Well, this boss is certainly unique. For the record, this is another boss that showed up in the "Prequel Game" (Curse of the Moon), so you may be familiar with his design here, but most of his attacks are quite different. We're also in a tiny space as well... in particular, note the spikes up on the ceiling... You should consider equipping your Aegis Armor for this fight, as it helps out with a number of attacks. Heck, with that armor on you could even invert the screen and fight like that.
With invert and that armor (plus, you know... your natural skills) this isn't a very tough fight. As always, read the moves below to get a feel for them. The "Coin Toss" skill is probably the most dangerous, but we wanted to point out one move in particular: the "Plunder" move. This move actually heals Valefar, but is somehow based on your own gold amount (we think... read the move below).
Either way, that move can refill Valefar's health, but he's still not that hard overall and you know it's coming. Note the coins on Valefar's chest during the fight: when they fall off all the way, you know "Plunder" is on the way. Break down those coins once again and you'll have taken Valefar out. Just survive the moves below in the meantime!
