Blue Mist Explored - What Is The Mysterious Laser Like Blue Mist Around Xenomorph Hives?
Who has seen Ridley Scott’s 1979 masterpiece, Alien? Given the movie's success, we assume most of you have. Now, how many of you have seen Fede Álvarez’s recently released Alien: Romulus? Based on its commercial success we’re guessing many of you have seen that too. To those of you wondering what’s with all the questions, hold on; we are coming to our point.
Remember when Kane, in Alien, went to check the derelict alien spacecraft, and discovered this huge chamber filled with numerous leathery eggs. Fans of the film will certainly recall Kane describing how the eggs are placed beneath this mysterious layer of mist that reacts when broken. This, of course, is seconds before Kane clumsily slips off a walkway, and the inevitable happens when he inspects one of the eggs. While the mist’s purpose has never been fully explained, it seems that 45 years later, with the release of Alien: Romulus, we might finally be getting some answers as the mist reappears in the new film.
