BN Video Game Con 2022 - Billy Mitchell speech with Doc Mack of Galloping Ghost Arcade + guests
12Saturday May 21, 2022 was the BN Video Game Con in Bloomington Normal, IL (a few hours south of Chicago). Many industry greats were acknowledged at this event with their own playing cards, plaques, awards, and more.
Billy Mitchell, high score arcade game setter and star of The King of Kong documentary, spoke and introduced Doc Mack, found/owner, of the Galloping Ghost Arcade with is the largest arcade in the world. Currently, the arcade has well over 800+ arcade games all set to free play with an all-you-can-play admission fee of $20.
Walter Day of Twin Galaxies, Tim Kitzrow (the voice of NBA Jam, NFL Blitz, and countless others), and several others were also acknowledged at the event.
In addition to this stages, guests were able to browse the vendor floor and there was a space in the back with some arcade and console games to play. Admission was $10 and they stamped your hand at the door. It was also a very raining day! Thunder actually shook the convention center a few times and people were soaked entering/exiting the con.
