Bomberman GB on the Super Game Boy (FC Twin Capture through OBS Studio)
This is a video where I was playing Bomberman GB on the Super Game Boy (SGB) using my Yobo FC Twin console, which is a third-party console that supports both NES & SNES games & was introduced on November 20th, 2006, connected to the computer using an AV out cable to an HDMI cable & the HDMI video capture card, & I used OBS Studio to capture the FC Twin on the computer as well as recorded the capture! Notice that the capture lags because of the fact the frame rate is 30fps instead of 60fps which is the frame rate of where the game should run at & the reason to that is when I try to record it in 60fps, it would slow down at the end after recording.
Despite the Super Game Boy being something cool where you can play your classic Game Boy games on the TV using an SNES console or SNES clones like the FC Twin & you can change the appearance of the screen using different color palettes or edit your own color combinations, one of the cons for this is that Game Boy games run at a 4% faster speed compared to an actual Game Boy (DMG, Pocket, Light (Japanese exclusive), Color, Advance, & Advance SP) console & while the real reason as to why is the use for the SNES's clock speed being divided by 5 & it ends up being 4.295 MHz instead of 4.194 MHz (Information found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Game_Boy#Hardware), it does explain why games played on there feature higher-pitched sounds compared to playing them an actual Game Boy (Information found here: https://www.mariowiki.com/Super_Game_Boy). However, the clock speed issue has been fixed for the Super Game Boy 2 (SGB2), which was released exclusively in Japan though. Even though the Japanese exclusive SGB2 does exist with the real clock speed for games on there, it is possible to modify the Super Game Boy to make games run on there at its true speed just like on a real Game Boy!
Speaking of games running on the SGB with 4% faster speed, this concept is similar to movies & TV shows on TV, VHS, or DVD being in PAL format where the speed for films in the PAL region seem to have 4% faster speed compared to NTSC films on TV, VHS, or DVD. For information about PAL having 4% faster speed, you can check it out here: http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/articles/palspeedup/palspeedup.asp. There is also a video regarding the speed between NTSC & PAL & this is a comparison here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph1EdfAQ7gM.
