BONELAB is being massively overhyped…
752I loved Boneworks. First VR game that REALLY wowed me. Sure, it was short, but it felt like it was because it was the perfect stepping stone to something amazing, longer, grander. 3 years pass and this is what they drop? There's barely any difference. And when there is it's mostly bad.
Why not have this as a free or paid DLC for Boneworks? And WHY release it when it's clearly not ready. If you remake a sandbox game, you need to really, truly innovate It.
I wanted to love this so much. The beginning really had me hooked. I was able to overlook the poor performance and few bugs to see what was to come. I thought the game would be longer. I thought it would be much improved upon. But there's really just not much here. Even if you like the changes and the way this game plays compared to Boneworks, there's still not much new. Feel like what would have saved this game for me is if players could have made levels and stuff IN GAME, then share them around for others to play.
I dunno, for now I've had enough of it. I had already written plans for 4 videos while waiting for the release. I was so excited to see what lay in wait. I think I'll keep an eye on it, but It's going to need so many updates to get enough content to pull me back and warrant the price they're asking. I'd rather just play Boneworks.
