This is it, the end of Borderlands The Pre Sequel. Upon entering The Vault of The Sentinel, we have to defeat The Sentinel itself, the protector of the Vault. and all of its forms. Once defeated, Jack comes down from Helios to see what is in the Vault, but all it turns out to be is the usual symbol for a Vault. However, Jack starts using it and it allows him to see into the future, showing him the wakening of The Warrior and the end of Borderlands 2. However, Lilith appears and punches the Vault symbol into his face, burning and permanently scaring him. By doing so, it drives Jack to madness, prompting Athena to leave Jack's employ. Going back to the present day, Lilith orders the Crimson Raiders to execute Athena, but is stopped once the alien from the beginning says that war is coming and that they will need all the Vault Hunters they can get. Lastly, in an after credits scene, Jack is scene strangling (not choking, mind you) his boss Mr. Tassiter, and not only does he declare himself the new President of Hyperion, but calls himself by his new name...Handsome Jack.
