Hello everyone and welcome to my brand new Let's Play Walkthrough! My name is MrSOAP999 and this is Bravely Default 2, a JRPG created by Square Enix, recently released on the Nintendo Switch! Following the same vein as traditional Final Fantasy games, Bravely Default 2's battle system is turned based, but with the added mechanic of being able to either Brave, performing more than one action per turn or Default, guarding against attacks, thereby reducing damage and saving up Brave Points! Players can also switch between various jobs after obtaining asterisks, allowing for different party combinations to aid in victory! In today's episode, we do the boss battle with the Thief Asterisk holder, Bernard, earning ourselves the Bard Asterisk after a long battle! Sadly however, we are betrayed by Prince Castor who kills Bernard and blames as the killers.
In this first episode of my walkthrough/playthrough of Bravely Default 2, we go through the character creation, creating our character and wake up washed ashore on a mysterious land that is currently suffering disasters that must be stopped through the power of four crystals, led by a princess named Gloria who is captured by an asterisk holding white mage and a vanguard! We eventually meet two adventurers named Elvis and Adelle who help us to recover Gloria!
