Bravely Default Horizon Devouring Serpent Arrangement
When I accidentally stumbled over the character Noin while reading the Wikia-article about cryst-fairies (I'm a huge fan of Anne), I became curious what her battle-theme might be. And this video here ( • Video ) surprised me a lot when I realized the fight jumps right into the second half of “Horizon-Devouring Serpent” (by some also translated as “Serpent Eating the Ground”).
Well, fan-girl that I am, I was once more hyped by the song and definitely wanted to remix it this time – it's ages ago that I played Bravely Default, after all. However, I got quite mad to realize that STILL nobody who had remixed the song was generous enough to share the .mid-file and / or sheet with the rest of the world.
Only AtomicMelodies ( • Serpent eating the ground {Bravely De... ) had done so – and believe me, that the discovery of the file-format made me not less crestfallen. I have never heard of .ftm before – and even though the program FamiTracker allows some kind of export, the .nsf-file is still nothing my programs could work with.
Of course there's a converter for this case. The quality didn't suffer at all, so I thought starting from here, it would be easy to create a remix with my new Midi. … Pffft, how naive I was. Surely every 'layer' has clean tunes, BUT they are not arranged like one would do so for each single instrument. Practically, the instruments per layer were mixed. AND these fast peep-peep-peep sounds which are necessary for a good quality of a FamiTracker-song do not match AT ALL for a proper virtual instrument. Cleaning that consumed lots of time. x.x”
Uff, I really am sorry I failed to get all tunes properly out of the indirect mess. I'm simply an amateur who wished to provide at least a minimum base for others – since I do not intend to be one of these idiots who don't share. If anybody has some love left for the instruments including the drums, I would really appreciate any improvements.
Aaanyways, I must say I love Noin's design. Her twin-sister Ain is also cute, but evil fairies are sadly more to my liking. x3 Especially, since Noin beats even Anne when it comes to the big-boss-outift – dang, I never expected a purple outfit with yellow accents to be so beautiful.
For my drawing, I went with the position of the official artwork for Noin's 'good' days, since that one appeals more to me than her boss-picture. Hope you guys like the result, because for an odd reason my fingers suffered a lot under this digital thingie. ._.”
( And do not dare to ask why I didn't draw Ouroboros. x{ )
