Zelda Minish Cap Temple of Droplets Remix
It's been a while since my last Zelda-remix, but I would still rather call it pure coincidence that this thingy here happened. You know, I had been ripping a few midis from my old GameBoy Advance games – and while doing so, I realized that Minish Cap hadn't ever seen the ripping-software before. Hence I fixed that. But...
Well, I can tell you: I was quite disappointed to figure out, that Sappy can't work with the game. Like... not at all. After using Google for a while, other people seemed to have the same problem, although a few were sure the game had once been accepted by that ripping-program.
Stubborn as I am, I didn't want to accept this. That's why I brushed the dust off from my other option – gba2midi – and checked if that software with its awful design could do anything with the game.
As you hear, I was successful. If you're interested, I uploaded the ripped midis to DeviantArt, so people can use them without having to track down every single file from the game themselves. But be warned: These midis are odd. Instruments are wrong; their set speed is troublesome for at least MAGIX Music Maker, so you'll have to use in worst case a Midi-Editor for getting it right. Also, for the Temple here, the drums weren't set for the whole song, although we know from playing Minish Cap, that this should be the case. (In other words, happy editing for anybody who plans to work with these midis.)
Speaking about 'happy'... My Music Maker crashed once amongst the saving-process, so my first file of the remix here got corrupted. Even worse: I lost every edit I had back then done so far due to not exporting the midi. x') Luckily, my memorization for music isn't as bad as for other things, which is why I nevertheless restarted plus completed this tiny project.
Not much to say about the cover-picture, though. I made the lines on real paper due to lacking time – I am still working on my entry for FFXIV's Drawing Contest (Ranged DD Outfit) – and colored the thing very quickly. Link is rather based on the style from the Four Swords Manga, while Ezlo / Ezelo matches of course the one of the Minish Cap Manga.
