Okay so I really want to make it possible to be able to have Sonic vs. Shadow in Brawl so I tried putting Sonic over Donkey Kong so that regular Sonic can stay as Shadow. But the thing is is that his specials don't work and he can't double jump and his run starts out slower.

Can anyone help me out with this problem or at least tell me why it partially works and why the other stuff doesn't work?
