The ADL has released a survey that says that 22% of USA gamers have been doxxed and 20% of them have been swatted. The ESA claims that there's 225+ million gamers in just the US. I don't believe that number, though, because there's 328 million people in the USA. So, 2 out of every 3 people are gamers? That doesn't seem right. So I wanted to use a lesser number.
During the video I said there's at least 30 million gamers in the USA. That number was in my head because I recently saw a report that March 2021 had over 26 million concurrent users on Steam, which is a record.
That and it makes the math easy lol. Though I guess I could have just used 100 million and it would have been even easier. Oops lol.
Using just using the 30 million number proves this survey is ridiculous. That would be millions of people being swatted.
