Bridge to Rail Backward and Forward: All Champions | Quake Champions | 1440p60
The Bridge to Rail jump done backward and forward with all champions, without using their respective special abilities. Plus a tutorial on how to do it – with keypresses and speed visible, slow motion, and an explanation of the circlejump and strafejumping. In between a little reminiscence of Bridge to Rail in Quake Live and Quake 3 Arena.
For an introduction to, and clearcut explanation of all kinds of tricking techniques in Quake I fullheartedly recommend the age-old video "Genesis: The Beginning of …" by Quan-Time. It is Quake 3 Arena and DeFRaG specific, so you just have to ignore the information only relating to those. But the principles of Circlejumping, Strafejumping, Rocketjumping, and Plasmaclimbing are equally valid in Quake Champions. Quan-Time explains them expertly and easy to follow:

For the mathematically inclined, who always wondered what the thing is behind the strange movement techniques in Quake, there is the equally age-old article "Strafing Theory" by injx:

Just in case you'd like to see people, who (in contrast to me) REALLY know how to move around, here's GroinMischief aka Smilecythe and friend Mazu tricking the living daylights out of Quake Champions:

And for good measure enjoy legendary speedrunner DraQu having tons of fun with assorted champions:

Credits: The footage was recorded via Shadowplay in Quake Champions CBT 11 and CBT 12.3, Quake Live v1069, and Quake 3 Arena 1.32 + DeFRaG 1.91.08. The editing was done in Vegas Pro 13, the voiceover recorded with Audacity. For the intro I used a template by RavenProDesign.com.
