2While leaving the underground areas of Castlevania, I decide to take a slight detour along the way and find a strange violet colored "save point". This leads to the Nightmare area which offers some insight into Alucard's past. Actually this area would make more sense if you read the instruction manual of the game which contains the background story of the game as opposed to the beginning of the game like most games nowadays. Anyways, like a real nightmare, nothing is all as it seems and soon we are introduced to another Iconic boss/enemy of the Castleroid era of this series, Succubus, who has in my opinion one of the best boss themes in this game.
