Another new feature Gaijin have begun to implement into War Thunder is the reduction in size of RB Ground Forces maps; this arcade-ization of the gamemode also coincides with the general dumbing down in War Thunder (i.e. Match Maker remains compressed and unchanged). Gaijins' excuse is that basically Arcade is the "preferred mode" of the community and therefore all modes should be like that (since WoT does so well)...

This doesn't allow for creative play and with certain vehicles makes them nigh on useless as they're unable to flank the enemy and engage their thinner/weaker armour.

This video contains footage of a normal RB game on the Cyanide (Sinai) map and a custom battle on the same map using Simulator Battle settings (to show the difference in size). Along with commentary by myself, Champ and Karl; this was streamed to allow other players to participate.
