Budget Varuna Grid Test Run vs Prometheus 手軽ヴァルナ編成 vs プロメテウス
As you may know if you follow this channel, I started a few weeks ago the process of migrating toward a Varuna grid.
I uncapped one Murgleis (no dama used) and one Blue Sphere (3 dama used) already and have one europa spear and a few Pholia bows waiting to be uncapped as soon as I get enough Damascus Bars. I also have a Varuna summon, but need one more sunstone to uncap it.
In this video we give a look at the performance of an extremely budget Europa x Varuna grid that uses only one Murgleis and one Blue Sphere in terms of grand weapons.
As you can see from the video (right after Lily does her first ougi), the auto damage that you can put out with this grid is downright amazing despite me not having set Moon or Gabriel summon to enhance the damage cap.
Most of the extra power compared to magna come from using the Fimbuls (we're going to get a rerun of the event in a few days) which require you to be at high health. Not an issue though with the combination of Lily, Europa and Pholia.
Note that a final Magna 2 Grid (combination of harps and staves) is going to deliver overall more damage thanks to the bigger ougi numbers at this stage yet.
The next steps I would like to take for this grid are:
1) Build up and switch to a primal dark opus.
2) Switch to a double Varuna configuration (this should raise the grid DA/TA from 27.7% to 32% and raise the ougi numbers considerably)
3) Insert Hollowsky Staff instead of Xeno Staff
4) Uncap my Pholia Bows (this may require a few months depending on how many freebies we get) and Europa Spear (if they turn out to be good).
Have you ever tried a Varuna grid? Do you have the required two fimbuls or plan to farm them in a few days?
