I built this PC to capture from analog sources, as well as from DV devices/cameras. This video could be used as a guide to build a small mid-end PC, though the analog capture card and the Firewire card can then of course be left out. Also the motherboard I used could be swapped for a motherboard with higher quality components. I chose this motherboard because it's the most modern motherboard with a legacy PCI slot available. This motherboard needs a newer BIOS version to handle Ryzen 3000 series CPUs. I let the online store I bought the motherboard from update the BIOS for me to save myself the trouble.

Things not shown being installed in video: 2 extra Noctua case fans, one blowing down onto the expansion cards, the other one is configured as an exhaust. The Magewell Pro Capture AiO capture card, and an optical drive (CD-RW/DVD-RW).

Components:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor
