The results are in! This test of our DIY GTX 1080 Hybrid GPU shows temperatures vs. the Founders Edition, as well as extra OC headroom, clock-rate stability, VRM fan speeds, and more.
We're building our own GTX 1080 Hybrid. We think the thermal throttle can be circumvented with a 980 Ti Hybrid liquid cooler from EVGA, so we're tearing apart our GTX 1080 Founders Edition to see what we can do.
This liquid cooled version of the GTX 1080 will, we hope, push the highest sustained overclocks and circumvent frequency drops.
