In this video, I dive into the details of enhancing the Glowing-Telegram project with new features and improvements. You'll see me working on reorganizing the CRUD API for the project, a shift that takes us full circle—from microservices back to a single API, and now towards a more structured setup with a reintroduced CRUD API. I also set up deployment workflows using VS Code tasks, shell scripts, and AWS CLI to streamline the Lambda functions update process.

A big focus of the session is on re-adding the ability to generate episodes from silent segments in streams. This involves exploring the internal data structures, cross-referencing stream records, video metadata, and DynamoDB tables, while brainstorming strategies to visualize this information through a timeline component. I outline the complexities of transitioning functionality from the old Glowing-Telegram front end to the newly organized repositories, tackling challenges like data inconsistencies and integrating updated features.

For those interested in React development, I walk through creating a new page in the admin panel using React-Admin’s advanced routing techniques. I meticulously work on building a dynamic timeline button for navigating nested views, debugging its implementation in detail, and exploring React-Admin hooks like `useCreatePath` to link resources effectively. I also discuss front-end data fetching and how I'm incorporating client-side sorting for a more functional UI experience.

Throughout the session, there are side discussions about using developer tools like AWS DynamoDB and Postgres migrations, VS Code workflows, Copilot assistance, and adapting mechanical keyboards for coding comfort. The overarching theme is improving the Glowing-Telegram project for a better coding experience and streamlined workflows.
