I have placed the machinery away from the room itself as I cannot hear pistons in the video and there is no real space restriction where he did it underground.

This video is targeted towards intermediate+ level redstone users. I don't detail exactly why or how to do every single thing because it is an involved build and that would take a very long time. This is relatively unedited so there are a few points where we talk through what should be done. The button timing is the only key one I believe so your setup, should it differ significantly, should not need much modification.

Definitions of some redstone terms used:
AND gate - Logic gate that only allows an output signal to be displayed if two inputs are on.

RS-NOR latch - A signal that can hold one bit of memory, either off or on, based on which one of two wires is enabled at the time. Providing a pulse to the enabled line will disable it and enable the other line. Used to create a timer for the dispensers.

Monostable Circuit - A gate that modifies a pulse into a certain length (here, usually one tick). Used to turn continuous outputs into a one-time pulse.

Clock - Loop of signal that outputs a signal regularly at some interval.
