Pokemon Infinite Fusion Hardcore Soul Link Rule Set
Nuzlocke Rules:
Limited Encounters: The player may only catch the first wild Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first wild Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances.
Dying: Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead and must not be used.
Optional Rules:
Mandatory Nicknames: The player must nickname all of their Pokémon, for the sake of forming stronger emotional bonds.
Gift Pokémon: Gifted Pokemon are separate encounters from wild pokemon encounters.
Full Wipe: A black out/white out is considered to be a "game over," even if there are usable Pokémon left in the Pokémon Storage System, and the player must start over.
No Outside Trading: The player may only use Pokémon they have captured themselves, meaning Pokémon acquired through trading, Mystery Gifts, etc., are prohibited.
In-Game Trading: The player may trade Pokémon with in-game trades.
Mistakes: If any rules are broken by mistake throughout the run they must be rectified as soon as possible for the run to proceed.
Increased Difficulty:
Set Mode Clause: The battle style must be changed to "set" in the options menu, meaning the player does not get the opportunity to switch out their Pokémon after an opponent's Pokémon faints.
No Items: No items are allowed to be used during battles except for held items.
Decreased Difficulty:
HM Helper: If the player has no Pokémon that can use a field move that is required to continue the game, they may catch another Pokémon that can learn the required field move. However, this Pokémon cannot be used in battle for any reason and must be released as soon as it is no longer needed or if the player catches another Pokémon that can use the same field move.
Variants:
Randomizer: Often Randomizers might be used to add more variety to Nuzlockes. Often these result in power curve swings with Legendaries making or breaking the run. Additionally, catch rates may have to be adjusted via the Randomizer in order to allow for Legendaries to be more easily catched early on, otherwise runs could end up with only the starter.
Clauses:
Dragon Rage Clause: If a wild/trainer Pokémon uses Dragon Rage (which always does 40 HP of damage) before the second gym to kill one of your Pokémon it is considered not dead and you can continue your run. In a trainer battle, if Dragon Rage is used the entire battle is ignored and the run continues.
Sonic Boom Clause: If a wild/trainer Pokémon uses Sonic Boom (which always does 20 HP of damage) before the first gym to kill one of your Pokémon it is considered not dead and you can continue your run.
Wonder Guard Clause: If a trainer Pokémon has Wonder Guard and you are unable to damage it or leave the battle before the first gym, you are allowed to continue and the run is considered not over.
Infinite Fusion Specifics:
Fusions Only: As soon as you are able to create fusions you must. You must also only use fusions on your team throughout the run.
