Bumpy Knuckles stopped by to talk with VladTV, and the situation involving a shooting with up-and-coming rapper Troy Ave at Irving Plaza came up in conversation. Bumpy Knuckles explained he is a fan of the young rapper, and the situation that happened was incredibly unfortunate. "Here's a guy whose one of the dopest MC's in the city... he was coming up... I was listening to his stuff, and I was like yo this kid is dope." Bumpy explained he didn't understand the reasoning behind Troy having the gun and ruining his future.

Vlad told Bumpy about three more guns being found in the car, one of which was used in the shooting and Bumpy was in disbelief stating, "Who needs that life tho? This is the thing that's crazy...some OG around him... should of snatched him and said listen homes...we not gone let you go that route." Bumpy explained once you become a boss in the rap game, you have people that will handle things for instead of you doing it yourself. He also explained that the younger rappers such as Troy Ave or Bobby Shmurda who are on the way up in their careers should think smarter. "You can't do nothing to nurture that from a jail cell... it's not like you can say imma go away for two years... people move on." Vlad and Bumpy go on to talk about how the unknown situation probably wasn't worth it.

Bumpy and Vlad also talked about how street code and hip-hop intertwine. Bumpy explained he feels it's about what's best for you life. "That man gotta do what that man gotta do... cause how many of these people in the street really rockin' with him...how many people gone look out for him when he's in jail. He gotta look at it overall he can't be just trying to be down..." Bumpy when into his past troubles, and although they weren't as severe, he explained he likes to maintain a private life and prefers not to play games with people unless there is a major issue. "People will say whatever they want to say, but I'm not gone entertain something outside of nothing."

Bumpy also had a lot to say about the recent police brutality issues that have been happening in the news. He explained there should be some sensitivity training within the police department because they don't treat civilians with respect, "I think the word authority they're hung on that... they forget sometimes that I'm a human being, or I'm a grown man, I got children in the car, or I'm in front of my wife..., and you're talking to me like I'm a piece of sh*t."
