This week the internet went full moron and a petition that gathered 18,000 signatures was created on change.org to ban Eugenia Cooney temporarily from YouTube for being too skinny, which the petitioners say is sending an unhealthy message to her fans. She may be too skinny and I sincerely hope she is being seen by a medical professional to make sure she is healthy in this and all matters.

Meanwhile, BuzzFeed just released a video titled Plus-Sized Women Recreate Fashion Ads. While some of these women are just a little overweight, some are downright obese. Somehow, I don’t think we’ll be seeing any petition to have the morbidly obese woman from this video banned from YouTube. In fact, I’d bet a petition like that would lead to triggering of a magnitude not seen since Nicole Abrour’s Dear Fat People video.

If you’re looking for me to rip on fat people, this is not the video you’re looking for. It’s a look at how different these two serious health conditions are treated with just a touch of objectification thrown in because, well, some of these pictures turned out pretty hot.
