I got through it by activating infinite lives with a World Funeral Productions ROM (the Derbyshire Ram one is bugged), disabling sprite collision, and hitting ALT+W (warp mode) in WinVice to whiz to the ending. Jump to 3:41 for a nifty tune at the end. Complete the next sector and you have the exact same thing.
