C64 Game: Pipeline Run
"If you ask the Duden about the term "pipeline", you get "pipeline (for gas, oil)" as an answer. "Sure, these are the eternally long things in which the oil flows!".
Our cleaning lady Hilde just throws one which, instead of e.g. For example, to collect the beer bottles lying around, to vacuum up the crumbled chips, to remove the stain that Mr. Menne's pizza slice has left on the editorial carpet, to take the diskette boxes back into the archive, or to throw FRED, which is sleeping in the corner, out of my shoulder looks at my screen.
Of course, Hilde knows these "things" very well through the weekly soap operas like "Dallas" and "Denver", which in itself is not a reason to "chat to me", as Loriot would put it.
In order to make progress in these instructions, Hilde is put in the fresh air, and with her the nerve saw in the corner. Now that calm and contemplation have returned to my Kemenate, I can explain to you in peace that the pipeline in our game is a brand new construction.
The device not only sucks up the many oil points like a vacuum cleaner and pumps them up into the headframe, but also eats the numerous dodgy journeyman who are up to mischief in the tunnels. This conveyor snake is truly a devil device. . . !
From the tunnel entrance, the pipeline can be moved along the aisles using a joystick, collecting the many oil points. When the fire button is pressed, the pipeline is brought in piece by piece, i.e. it moves back towards the conveyor tower as long as the joystick button is held down.
Danger looms from the elements already mentioned that cross the underground tunnel system. If such an object moves towards the pipeline and touches it, a life is forfeited.
So it is advisable to eat the villains before contact. Of course, this only works with the head of the pipeline. You should (as is actually the case in our culture, unless you eat at McDonald 's) take your time as the pipeline also wants to digest the boys. If you refrain from lingering briefly on the spot, it can well happen that an overload will paralyse the device. Aim to collect all oil points on the field.
The player also plays against the clock. If this has dropped to 50 units, the upper area of the shaft is refilled with oil points. The time limit increases slightly when a blinking object is eaten. All in all, it is important to vacuum 6 tunnel systems. A pipeline is lost if one of the villains touches it, a villain is eaten too quickly, or the time is up.
So, Hilde can now continue her work, whereas I will now save mine on a floppy disk and then turn towards home. Have fun funding!"
