I got through this time round attempting to get the most points possible. It doesn't have the difficulty level option that the Amiga and Atari ST versions do, so the timer is fixed. I cut out the travelogue/map sequences for quickness.
As in the other versions, hitting a “very big balloon” gives you 50 points, “big balloon” 100, the “small” 150, “very small” 200. The timer starts from 1:45 and counts down. At 1:30 for the first few levels a piece of fruit falls down, which on collecting gives you the maximum of points which is 1000 (this is more on the Amiga and ST versions).
Destroying a ledge gives you 500 points. If a bird breaks balloons then it also gives you the same points as previously stated.
In Australia Stage 5-13, there are 10 breakable ledges. I deliberately died here (as in many other levels, like Mount Fuji Stage 1-2) so that I could hit them over and over as they reappear when you lose a life, thus accumulating more points.
The fruit on Taj Mahal Stage 6-16 is unreachable, unlike in the Amiga/ST ports.
Could have got more fruit on Taj Mahal Stage 6-18, but that’s a tricky spot to reach. The ledge on the right can’t be destroyed even though it looks as if you can do it.
The animal antics are less in this port so the crabs and snails aren't included. Poor little nippers and slimeballs lives matter need more representation.
