Translation:
"Mars has always fascinated man's imagination; ever since, in ancient times, the first astronomical observers studied the movements of the red celestial body. Finally, after a long time, a terrestrial expedition ventures to the nearby planet; in search of a rational exploitation of its natural resources but... perhaps not everything had been foreseen; perhaps the observations had not been conducted with the necessary expertise or something had been kept hidden.
The first few months had passed without incident; life went smoothly and human settlements grew in the best possible way. Nothing suggested the tragedy.
It all began with a terrifying earthquake which immediately wiped out almost all of the human dwellings; the surface of Mars was devastated by great perturbations. The mountains sank and in their place, in correspondence with the great channels that had made men dream, large metal structures with a rather unusual design appeared; definitely not human.
Gradually the planet was covered with metal and became a powerful and fierce fighting base, built by a dominating race, probably, in the mists of time, perhaps when our solar system was not yet born; the cosmic powders had then covered it almost definitively, until the intrusion of man had activated the automatic defense mechanisms.
The Mars channels are now crossed by defense elements that some have already compared to the white blood cells present in our body. Evidently, the central control of the alien base regards human establishments as viruses; the "globules" inexorably advance towards the last available spaceport; it is necessary to ensure that the last human outpost, blocked by "blood cells" at the end of a long equatorial channel. In fact, your module will have to go through the channel to the end and retrieve the last survivors left, before the "globules" eliminate them.
Beware of the automatic defenses of the alien base; they are programmed to destroy anything that moves on the surface of the base; your task will not be easy."
