For 'Awakened Aberrus' week, we get Cache of Embers from:
1 - The Researchers Under Fire event in Zaralek Caverns
2 - The Zaralek Caverns world boss
3 - Fyrakk Assaults, 'Secured Shipment' 3-key chest
4 - Completing the Time Rift event in Thaldrasus - get chest from the time rift boss
Cache of Embers provides gold and epic gear. It's beneficial to complete it with your alternate characters.
If you have too many alternate characters, it's an opportunity to gear them up.
This week, the quest "Last Hurrah: Zaralek Caverns and Time Rifts" is active. Remember to accept it before farming Cache of Embers, as it's a new weekly quest

Loot a Secured Shipment:
You need 3 Everburning Keys, dropped by elite mobs: Forgemaster Algrin and Shadeisethal at Azure Span, and Forgemaster Kraglin and Kretchenwrath at Ohn'ahran Plains.
Another way to get an Everburning Key:
Kill mobs until you have 5 Ward of Igira.
Use the Suffusion Crucible to get some Ward of Fyrakk.
Repeat until you have 5 Ward of Fyrakk.
Use the Suffusion Mold to get an Everburning Key.
Note: Using the Crucible summons an elite mob that can drop Ward of Fyrakk. Crucible appears as an ingot and Mold as a scroll on the mini map.

Complete a Time Rift:
Time Rift events run hourly on the hour.
All characters can do Time Rifts repeatedly in a week. However, When Time Needs Mending can only be completed by one character once a week. Repeating the Time Rifts may result in diminishing rewards
When the Time Rift event starts you'll be asked to "Report in" to Soridormi. To report, click on the Chat option in purple that says, "Begin Time Rift. Name reporting for duty". If you don't click on the chat option, you won't get credit or loot. The reward for completing When Time Needs Mending is a Contained Paracausality containing loot.
There are 7 different timeways. Completing all of them grants you the achievement Chronograde Connoisseur.

Protect the Researchers Under Fire:
The Zaralek Caverns event occurs every hour and offers rewards based on the number of completed objectives. Rewards range from Researcher's Scrounged Goods to Indebted Researcher's Scrounged Goods, Unearthed Fragrant Coins, and Loamm Niffen reputation points. Higher tier rewards have a higher chance to drop gear, pets, and mounts. These rewards are given once per week, but the event can be repeated to achieve a higher tier reward.
