I left the Marshes and returned to the Cordon. I find it easier to enter the Marshes from the Rookie Village where you can arrive at the Southern Farmstead that is relatively easier to go west to the Clear Sky base and then to leave the Marshes using the eastern edge along the barbed wire fence to depart from the Northern Farmstead and arrive just west of the Loner Base. I usually leave the Marshes with prize loot I want to drop off at my main stash inside the Loner Base, so that clockwise movement between the two levels works out best for me.

Of course, the most fun of returning to the Loner Base is often finding it under the control of the Bandits who took advantage of your absence to make it theirs again.
