Call Of Duty (2003) (20th Anniversary)
8On October 29th 2003 the very first Call Of Duty was released on PC and at the time little did we know that this series would go on to become one of (if not) the biggest First Person Shooter Franchises in gaming history. Developed by Infinity Ward (Most of the team being ex-developers of Medal Of Honor Allied Assault) Call Of Duty puts us into the shoes of three different soldiers from three different armies during World War 2, An American Paratrooper from the 101st Airborne Division, A British Paratrooper from the 6th Airborne Division and a Russian Conscript from the 13th Guards Rifle Division. The Game takes place on many famous battlefields of WW2, from dropping in behind enemy lines in France on the eve of D-Day, to crossing the Volga River and fighting in the streets of Stalingrad, to raising the Red Army Flag over the Reichstag in the Battle Of Berlin.
To celebrate 20 Years of Call Of Duty I wanted to replay the very first game and relive the experience of this classic shooter. Due to playing with a custom resolution setting I unfortunately cannot play the intro movie or one of the ending movie footages because of this. Also the recording seems to have made some of the areas look darker than they're meant to be so sorry about that.
