The new installment of the Call of Duty series, Black Ops 7, was officially announced at the Xbox Games Showcase event. While Activision introduced the first Call of Duty game developed under the Microsoft umbrella; the first trailer of the production was also released to the audience.

The information that the game represents a first in the series was also revealed with the announcement. For the first time in the history of the Black Ops sub-brand, two games are being released in succession. Black Ops 7 comes as a direct sequel to Black Ops 6, which was released in November 2024.

This new production, which is 40 years after the previous game, tells the story of a period in the world where technological developments and psychological warfare are intertwined. According to the scenes seen in the trailer, players are this time taking part in a chaotic world in the future.
