After the Russians are driven out of the East Coast by the US Military, Russian President Vorshevsky decides to seek peace with the West only to be captured and held hostage by Ultranationalist rebel Vladimir Makarov. As a result, the Russians invade most of Europe. Meanwhile, Captains Price and 'Soap' MacTavish are on the run after killing renegade US General Shepherd and seek to find and kill Makarov once and for all.
