However, over time, the series has seen games set in modern times, the midst of the Cold War, futuristic world, and outer space. Among them the first title about modern combats was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare which released in 2007.
The succeeder was followed by three titles like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, and Call of Duty Modern Warefare. This is the second most loved game series of Call of Duty franchise as Black Ops series nominated as the first.
The beginning of this main story was based on the Cold War and then continued with a fictional modern-day stories. But I should say this storyline is loosely attached to the actual historical events. I mean, more loosely. And the most important thing in this story to be continued, it has never reached the end.
