Call Of The Zone - #096: Out Through The In Door
Normally my routine has always been to enter the Marshes from the level changer near the Rookie Village, because it's a safer path from the Southern Farmstead to the Church, to the Fishing Hamet and on to the Clear Sky Base. Leaving the Marshes was easier from the Northern Farmstead to the Cordon, usually being overloaded and conveniently close to the Loner Base. This was routine for me in Call of Chernobyl, especially with Companions where you could call them from any location you left them at, right before you departed, and they would appear right next to you in the new level. This was a way to keep them alive.
Since Call of the Zone features different numbers in the various camps and bases, I felt comfortable with a lot smaller Military presence at the Cordon Military Base, to use the level changer by the Rookie Village to return to the Cordon. So, in effect, going out through the in door. The reduced numbers at many of the camps and bases, gives Call of the Zone a different vibe and experience than Call of Chernobyl. It feels more like Shadow of Chernobyl, going out into the Zone with less NPCS out there, whereas Call of Chernobyl can often feel like the Clear Sky Faction Wars.
