8Nearing the end of World War 2 a plan was drawn up by Winston Churchill which contemplated a scenario that the Soviet army would continue their march right through Germany and into central Europe. This plan was to launch a pre-emptive strike of Atomic bombs followed by a series of assaults by the allied forces with the US taking centre stage. In our timeline, such plan was never put into action and the rest of the world was thankful.
