I know that I have no audience, and I certainly don't win a battle against a big streamer (which the downvotes will show), but it's the principle of the thing.
Also, you're allowed to like somebody while admitting that they did something wrong. Just gonna put that sentence out there & let it float around the air for anyone that needs to hear it.
Post-video note:
I misspoke near the end. I do not believe that the receiver dictates if something is offensive or not. However, I speak under the assumption that it is the opposing argument, since it is often given as one.
I personally believe that deliverer's intent, as well as receiver's... reception, are both (equally???) important. If the receiver is offended, it is important for the deliverer to know that for the future. But it is also important for the receiver to understand the deliverer's intent, since this can not only help you to not be offended and feel bad, but it can prevent self-inflicted unnecessary damage on your relationships with those around you.
We should all be striving to understand one another, rather than trying to be a victim all the time in order to gain attention and social power.
