In this video, Cannon Fodder, developed by Sensible Software and released in 1993 for the Atari ST by Virgin Mastertronic Games. Originally released for the Amiga, the game was then ported to Atari ST and other systems such as MS-DOS, Archimedes.
It's a multi scrolling, military based, shoot'em up, where you command a troop throughout various missions. Basically you point your mouse and right-click in the direction you want to go and left-click where you want to shoot or vice-versa. While on duty you have to deal also with river crossing that slows your troops, mines, quicksand and various traps. The game has also a dark humor, that makes your actions and war in general tragically fun.
Graphically terrific even with a not so good scrolling, the audio is ok, playability wise, is very good, you can play with different approches to enemies.
Here you can find full intro with digitized soundtrack and gameplay of first 3 missions.

All footage taken from original hardware machines and upscaled to 1080P.

Let me know what do you think about in the comments below but, most important, Enjoy!!!
