Capcom, you know them well. They weren't a huge part of the Sega experience in the 8 and 16-bit days, but that radically changed when the Sega Saturn came along. Let's take a look at all the software that Capcom released for Sega's 32-bit machine. Part 1 of a 2 part series.

Episode Notes:

1. Opening monologue music is Ken's theme from Street Fighter II. Ending monologue is Ryu's theme.

2. Games included in Part 1:
Street Fighter: The Movie (1995)
Gakkou no Kowai Uwasa Hanako San Ga Kita!! (1995)
X-Men: Children of the Atom (1995)
Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams (1996)
Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge (1996)
Street Fighter II Movie (1996)
Mega Man X3 (1996)
Ide Yousuke Meijin no Shin Jissen Mahjong (1996)
Arthur to Astaroth no Nazomakaimura: Incredible Toons (1996)
Tenchi wo Kurau II: Sekiheki no Tatakai (1996)
Street Fighter Alpha 2 (1996)
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (1996)
Mega Man 8 (1997)
Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness (1997)
Quiz Nanairo Dreams Nijiirochou no Kiseki (1997)
Resident Evil (1997)
Mega Man X4 (1997)

3. When I say no Capcom developed games where released on Sega consoles, I mean of course directly made by them. Strider for the Genesis was done by Sega themselves, for instance. So was Final Fight for the Sega CD. Even Mega Man on the Game Gear was done by a company called Freestyle and published by US Gold.

4. Many of these games were also released on the Playstation and many of them are quite good. Don't shy away from ports like the Zero/Alpha games, they are still quite impressive.
