This was one of the laziest fighting games that was developed by Capcom. Reused assets and horrible background stages. You just can see things were going down hill for them and this was at one point, the brick of death of fighters until it slowly started to come back by little by little. Now fighters are back on the map but it was a dark age many years ago especially thanks to Capcom giving two shits less to their fighting fan base by releasing this.
I remember seeing reviews and how bad this game was but I still picked it up day one especially thanks to Live support on the original XB. Also, showing support and being a fighting game lover. I was so disappointed playing this. I played it probably a couple of times within a two or three day span and never to touch it again. Playing it again now doesn't make me miss it one bit but brought memories of disappointments and how lazy was Capcom was at the time. After the success of CvS2 and them giving us this? It was an embarrassment.
They could of done so much better at the time but oh well, I guess a quick cash grab and a failed one at that. Regardless, I did invest a lot of time in this today and I just posted my best play through of it. I just don't like this game at all. Half assed as FUCK!
What's coming through the week will be gameplay of KOF 98 UM, 2002 UM, 2003, Neowave, Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, and Fist of the North Star. All running on PCSX2. Just strictly against the AI, nothing special. 2003 is my favorite out of all those fighters. Regardless, thanks for watching. Take care and be safe!
Another thing, Ingrid is an overrated character. Don't understand why people are so crazy for her. She's pretty much Capcom's Athena but Athena is so much better character than Ingrid.
