It's been widely deemed that Capcom's next remake in the Resident Evil series will focus on the fifth mainline entry, originally released in 2009. Resident Evil 5, a co-op survival horror game was criticized for its intense focus on heavy action sequences with very limited almost nonexistent puzzle elements which downplayed the series horror origins. Despite the criticism, the game became one of the highest selling games in the franchise. Capcom would have to please both sides of a diverse fanbase for a potential remake. Avid discusses ideas for how Capcom should proceed with a remake of the original RE 5.
