Captain Daniel Agger breaks the silence in the DBU conflict Danish Interview 26/02/15
On the pitch, he is stuck in the tackles, and national captain Daniel Agger does the same in the ongoing conflict with DBU.
It's obviously not least on union demands to differentiate the economic conditions for national team players. There is not a mindset that Brøndby profile welcome.
- We have the view that we have always had: We would like to stand together as a team. We want equal conditions for all, high and low. That is what we are fighting for, says Daniel Agger to Ekstra Bladet.
- As one of the team's biggest stars with Christian Eriksen, it will surely be beneficial to you with an individual contract. Why would you not have such a?
- It says the little himself that Christian and I and several others would benefit from individual contracts and earn some more money.
- But that's not what we want. We want to ensure some of the young league players coming up, some of the same terms that we got, when we came up.
- I will not be the captain of the Danish national team that will change that. I think that especially in a football team, it's about standing together and it makes it both on and off the field.
- Do you think this conflict will be resolved within the next few weeks?
- I hope so, because there is no one who is served with it. We are ready to negotiate and so does the Players Association on our behalf.
