32Part 11 of 11, of a walkthrough for Carol Reed: Shades of Black. In this part, Carol finds herself inside a closet in Black's house. She finds a letter from Black's wife and uses it to break out of the house.
Carol is sure the mystery isn't over. She goes to the publisher's office, where she finds proof that Edison is the culprit. He murdered Black's wife. When he learned Black is investigating the murder for a book, Edison got nervous. He invented Morty and the trail of clues, to make Black question his sanity. Edison hired Carol, only because he lost track of Black; he had no idea where Black was, once Black left the mine suites.
Carol manages to defeat Edison and escape. Black is so grateful, he credits her as a co-author on his book.
