At least in this game, they don't give this facade where it's free to play. Then you play for awhile and go, "OK, I need to spend a couple of bucks on it..." and you do and then you keep spending those couple of bucks every now and again which you don't mind doing. Then they make a game-changing change which ultimately undoes all your hard work and pushes your end game back another 6 months. But you don't care enough about the game or the change enough to hang around. The change isn't anything interesting like a new mode or more content. It's just a higher number which is super lazy. And I wouldn't be so pissed off if this was the first and only time this has happened. I am now on my 4th mobile game in 5...maybe 6 years all because they keep making changes they need to, to keep older players interested at the sacrifice of everyone else. Or they get greedy and want more money and in order to get the new content, it costs some ridiculous amount and becomes too cutthroat to stay involved.
It's still a kind of crappy game, tho.
