2Working on part of the tail, taking of material and starting to form the shape. Using a bull nosed chisel to avoid cutting into the tail itself. Working back from the body to the end of the tail, so that all working marks point in this same direction. Later, when it is sanded, any pits will all point nicely away from the body.
