ABOUT MURDER BY NUMBERS:
Set in 1996 Los Angeles, in Murder by Numbers the player takes on the role of TV actress Honor Mizrahi, who stars in the detective show, Murder Miss Terri. However, during filming the showrunner is found dead, and Honor becomes the prime suspect. With the help of a discarded investigative robot named SCOUT, she works to solve the mystery and clear her name.
Murder by Numbers follows the format of a visual novel, similar to the Ace Attorney series. The player can move between areas, talk to characters, and gather clues. To collect evidence, the player must complete nonogram puzzles, which follow the typical rules for these types of logic puzzles. Some of these puzzles may be timed, while others will penalize the player for taking too many hints.

Murder by Numbers was developed by Mediatonic, an independent United Kingdom-based studio. Among those that have contributed include writer Ed Fear (from The Swords of Ditto), character designer Hato Moa (Hatoful Boyfriend) and composer Masakazu Sugimori (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Viewtiful Joe, and Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective).
