Today, we embark on a slightly different type of mission than usual.

Launched on October 15, 1997, Cassini-Huygens is hailed by many as one of the most successful and prolific space missions in the history of spaceflight. During its nearly 20-year long mission, it collected priceless data on Saturn's many moons, its majestic rings, and the structure of Saturn itself. On September 15, 2017, it was intentionally flown into and burned up in Saturn's atmosphere to prevent possible contamination of Saturn's moons with Earth life.
