Castlevania game play Dead Cells first play
TLDR: So long as you possess a controller or some similar type of alternative with which to play this, it’s arguably the best version due to its mobile nature and really affordable DLC! Since the game is a a pixel art style title visually it’s very well optimized and almost nothing is lost on the transition over from console or PC. I’ve noticed a couple rare instances where a random monster/npc may appear more aliased or something to that effect but it’s quite rare and not really noticeable if it’s even present to begin with. I get overly digital foundry brained occasionally.
As for the graphics on offer. They are quite nice, with subtle modern flourishes and graphical techniques simply not possible on the generations of hardware from which the core inspiration of this DLC is derived
I Used to play this game heavy on PC, I managed to clear 3BC back then as my best achievement before finally moving on. I actually even repurchased all of the dlcc, partially just due to being neurotic about not having the “complete” experience, but mostly just because outs very cheap! I don’t remember what I played on the Xbox Storefront but I could have sworn it was at least slightly more. I could just be simply mistaken though.
I recently got a controller adapter/holder type device for playing mobile games and such on your phone, as an unexpected Christmas gift. I have always been vehemently opposed to mobile gaming, in part due to the quality of the games, but equally due to the inability to control them well.
Now that I have this controller device (essentially loons like a switch) I am all for select mobile gaming. This port of dead cells being among the best examples I can think of. Stay miles away from this game if you’re even considering using touch controls. You’re going to have a bad time, just like when you Pizza when you’re supposed to French fry. But with a controller, or “backbone” as my particular device is called, though I’m sure there are plenty of solid alternatives, it’s basically an ideal port. Any recent phone should be able to run the game fine without dropping frames so I can’t recommend the port enough of you have a controller or like device.
