Catharsis: Breaking Digimon World 3
3This game is dumb, but I wanted to play it again to see if I wasn't playing it wrong. Answer's yes. It's still dumb though. Here's a video of a rather infamous boss battle. Persiamon (known nowadays as Bastemon) hits you hard physically and up to four times and can even force you into your Rookie form. How did I break this?
Guilmon can get the Zweihander, which gives him +300 attack. That plus training at the gym (did you know you could do that?) lets you raise attack, defense and speed to the point that you're dealing massive damage, taking little damage, and evading a lot more. It wrecks the entire game. And I didn't need a single cheat (don't tell me save states are cheating, the save point is very close to the gym.) The Counter Crest actually doesn't really come into play until the endgame. So yeah, game's broken, don't even bother.
