Cave Story 3D Normal Ending Glitched Run (7:38.19)
11So me and my friend, TM825, have been planning this little run for a couple weeks. It started months ago when I found out that if you do the inventory glitch from Sand Zone to the monitor room and you use one of the monitors, it would start the normal ending. This run originally was going to have to go through the Bushlands, until TM825 found out by using the inventory glitch from Arthur's House to any room, exiting the room would warp you to Sand Zone. Even though this run turned out to be just how fast you could get to Egg Corridor, it shows interesting warps with the inventory glitch which could inspire more glitch runs for getting the bad or best ending.
This video doesn't show the fastest this run can be. I take a lot of safe strats like getting one heart capsule and getting the Polar Star to level 3. I wanted to upload it now with the safe strats so that there's something to compare another run to. I also think that someone out there could probably do much better than me with this run (and maybe have a capture card). If someone else tries this run, I would love to see it.
